Hmmm, well the only time I have used Aura was in pet nuke and the only time I have used Symbol with a ranger is with solo grawl genocide.

Depends what ur doing. I would go bal Aura for offensive capability, but i would switch to symbol of wrath if i was going defensive. Stops warriors attacking you for a bit, or they take a good deal of dmg.

i don know why a Ranger would ever use SoW... but BA can be used on a pet for some good dmg

SoW - 5x less energy cost
more damage
half the time

I use it to farm undead or if i get stuck i aoe bomb the place to get out.

dude! symbol of wrath is 5 enegy and balthazar aura is 25e! after casting balthasar you wont have enouth energy for ANYTHING. balthasar is for monks and even them cant always afford it!

Symbol of Wrath: 5e, stays in one place.
Balthazar's Aura: 25e, follows you. damage is greater than Symbol.
